Arab Sea - Follow-ups: A study conducted by researchers at Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital of Xiamen University in China, and a team from Shanghai Chest Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, showed that the benefits of exercise in preventing and treating coronary heart disease may be significantly better for women. Based on wearable device data from 85,000 participants, the research team systematically analyzed gender differences in the prevention and treatment of coronary heart disease with exercise. They found that women only need 250 minutes of exercise per week to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease by 30%, while men need 530 minutes, almost twice the time women need to achieve the same cardiovascular benefits. Further analysis showed that among those diagnosed with coronary heart disease, women who exercise for 51 minutes per week can reduce their risk of death by 30%, while men need to exercise for 85 minutes to achieve the same result. Experts hope that the results of this new research project will serve as a reference for efforts aimed at preventing and treating coronary heart disease for various age groups.
