Arab Sea Newspaper – Mecca – June 14, 2025 The Hajj season for the year 1446 AH, corresponding to 2025 AD, has ended amidst widespread praise for the good organization and integrated efforts that contributed to enabling more than 1.6 million pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and peace. Despite the crowding and large numbers, no major incidents or deaths were recorded, indicating a qualitative leap in the level of preparedness and management. Good Organization and Readiness The season was characterized by a clear flow of pilgrims between the holy sites, especially on the Day of Tarwiyah, the Standing at Arafat, and the Stoning of the Jamarat. Smart technologies were used to guide crowds and track the locations of pilgrims, along with the provision of thousands of volunteers and field workers from various sectors, which helped to anticipate any emergency and deal with it quickly. Compared to Previous Seasons Compared to last year's season, which witnessed more than 1,300 deaths due to a severe heat wave, this season was safer and more stable thanks to the distribution of cooling points, the provision of water, and the increased readiness of health and ambulance services in all locations. Integrated Services The services included: * Electronic applications with instant translation and guidance. * Smart bracelets to connect pilgrims to medical and security centers. * Organized transportation services with precise timings. * Readiness of hospitals and health points, providing more than one million treatment services. This year's Hajj season was a milestone in the quality of organization and the ability to deal with huge crowds in a safe spiritual atmosphere. This reflects a major development in the organizational and field structure that now rivals major global gatherings and is a model to be followed in crowd management and serving humanity.
