The interim capital, Aden, witnessed today the start of roundtable sessions dedicated to women leaders in parties and political entities, organized by UN Women - Yemen, in cooperation with the My Right Foundation for Women's Political Empowerment, under the slogan "Political Participation and Peacebuilding." Over three days, the participants will discuss ways to enhance women's presence within party institutions, address the most prominent challenges hindering their political activity, and review joint coordination mechanisms between women leaders in various components. The event includes analytical sessions and discussions aimed at developing practical proposals to enhance women's participation in political work, strengthen their role in organizational structures, and raise their capabilities in decision-making positions. During the opening, the representative of UN Women in Yemen, Dina Zorba, affirmed that women party leaders have a pivotal role in supporting women's participation in the political process and peace efforts, stressing the need to assess the current situation of women within parties and formulate recommendations that contribute to its improvement. For her part, the head of the My Right Foundation, Intisar Al-Haddali, explained that the roundtable comes within the framework of promoting women's political dialogue and enabling women to actively contribute to shaping the future of the country and its development path.
