Israeli security source: Iran is accelerating the arming of its regional proxies in preparation for a possible confrontation.

A senior Israeli security source revealed, in exclusive statements to the "Kan" news channel, the growing concerns within the security establishment about the accelerating regional moves by Iran to re-strengthen its declining influence, noting that Tehran has effectively entered a worrying arms race in anticipation of any possible Israeli attack. The source explained that Iran is working at an accelerated pace to strengthen its military capabilities, pointing to its relentless efforts to rebuild the Houthi arsenal in Yemen and smuggle weapons into the West Bank, with the aim of carrying out operations inside the Israeli heartland. He added that Iran is simultaneously intensifying its rearmament operations for Hezbollah in Lebanon and expanding its support for armed organizations in Syria, in the context of comprehensive preparations for the possibility of a direct military confrontation with Israel. Regarding the situation in Lebanon, the source stressed that Iran is aware of the sensitivity of the next stage, especially with the approaching deadline of December 31 for the disarmament of Hezbollah, which may prompt Israel to take decisive steps after this date. The security source concluded his remarks by warning that the pace of Iran's armament and expansion of its regional military influence is a dangerous development, and puts the Israeli security services in a state of constant alert in anticipation of any sudden escalation.
