Arab Sea_Reports: The draw for the group stage of the second AFC Champions League football tournament for the 2025-2026 season was held today, Friday, in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, where the participating clubs learned about the path of competition on their way to the continental title. The 32 teams, 16 from the East region and 16 from the West region, were divided into 8 groups, with the competitions starting on September 16, according to the official website of the Asian Football Confederation. West Region Groups In Group A, Al Wasl of the UAE came alongside Esteghlal of Iran, Al-Muharraq of Bahrain, and Al-Wehdat of Jordan. Group B includes Al-Ahli of Qatar, Andijan of Uzbekistan, Arkadag of Turkmenistan, and Al-Khaldiya of Bahrain. Group C includes Sepahan of Iran, Al-Hussein of Jordan, Mohun Bagan Super Giant of India, and Altyn Asyr of Turkmenistan. Group D includes Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia, Al-Zawraa of Iraq, Istiklol of Tajikistan, and Goa of India. East Region Groups The draw placed Beijing of China in Group E, alongside Macarthur of Australia, Tai Po of Hong Kong, and Cong An Hanoi of Vietnam. In Group F, Gamba Osaka of Japan will play with Nam Dinh of Vietnam, Ratchaburi of Thailand, and Eastern of Hong Kong. Group G includes Bangkok United of Thailand, Selangor of Malaysia, Lion City Sailors of Singapore, and Persib Bandung of Indonesia. Group H includes Pohang Steelers of South Korea, Pathum United of Thailand, Kaya Iloilo of the Philippines, and Tampines Rovers of Singapore. Upcoming Stages The group stage concludes on December 24, 2025, before the round of 16 matches begin between February 10 and 19, 2026. The quarter-final and semi-final matches will be held between March 3 and 12 and April 7 and 15, respectively, and the final will be held on May 16, 2026.
