Morocco inaugurates first FIFA regional office in Africa.

((Arabian Sea)) Agencies: On Saturday, FIFA opened its regional office in Africa, in the Moroccan capital, Rabat. The inauguration ceremony of this office took place in the presence of FIFA President Gianni Infantino, President of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, in addition to Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and a number of senior sports officials in Africa and abroad. The FIFA regional office was built next to the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, alongside the headquarters of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. The official protocol for the construction of this office was signed in Marrakech in December 2024, on the sidelines of the CAF Awards ceremony, in the presence of Gianni Infantino, Fouzi Lekjaa, the Head of the Moroccan Government, and the President of the African Union. The Rabat office is the fourth FIFA regional office, after the other offices in Paris, Miami, and Jakarta.
