Little Red writes history again and qualifies for Asia after a thrilling victory over Laos.

The Yemeni youth team moved another step closer to fulfilling the aspirations of its fans, after securing qualification for the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup with a remarkable 4-2 victory over Laos in the match that concluded the Group B qualifiers.

The match started surprisingly after the Laotian team took the lead from a penalty kick in the 17th minute, but the Yemeni response was swift, as Fahd Al-Faqih restored balance to the match with a beautiful goal in the 21st minute, allowing the Yemeni squad to regain momentum and impose its presence on the course of play.

In the second half, the Yemeni players delivered a more mature and focused performance, with Abdulrahman Ramzi scoring the second goal in the 65th minute, before the same player reinforced the result with a third goal that put the team in complete control. The young Reds did not give their opponent a chance to come back, as Fahd Al-Faqih returned to score the fourth goal in the 81st minute, confirming Yemen's superiority and its deserving claim to the qualifying card.

Despite Laos scoring a second goal in stoppage time, the final whistle came, announcing Yemen's qualification after raising its score to 15 points from five matches full of performance and results.

With this victory, the Yemeni youth team secures its place in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup finals, scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia in May 2026, continuing its journey of brilliance that has restored hope to the Yemeni fans for the return of glory to national football.
