The national team will play in its official uniform consisting of a red shirt and shorts and black socks, while the Qatari team will play the match in full white. Through this match, the national team seeks to compensate for its loss in the first round against Saudi Arabia by a clean goal, and maintain its chances of competing for one of the two qualifying cards for the semi-finals, given that the match is considered a "crossroads" for its journey in the tournament. The first round of matches witnessed Saudi Arabia's victory over Yemen with a goal to nil, while the match between Qatar and Kuwait ended in a draw (2-2), while Oman defeated Egypt (2-0) and Iraq defeated Bahrain (1-0) in the second group.
