Arab Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Civil Defense Department in Lahj Governorate announced on Sunday that rescue teams were able to save the lives of six people and recover the bodies of three others who died as a result of the torrential floods that the governorate witnessed during the past two days, in addition to liberating the village of Al-Manasara in the Tuban district after it was besieged by floods coming from the highlands. The Civil Defense explained that rescue teams in the Al-Malh district intervened to rescue the passengers of two cars swept away by the floods, where five people, including the driver, were rescued from a "Hilux" vehicle, while a sixth person named Fadl Abdullah Abdil Al-Dhibyat died and his body was recovered three kilometers from the scene of the accident. In another incident, the floods swept away a "Land Cruiser" car, which led to the death of its driver, Abdul Rahman Muhammad Naji Shandaq (28 years old), while his brother Ibrahim (31 years old) was rescued. The Civil Defense pointed out that the two incidents resulted from the recklessness of the drivers and their risk of crossing the flood streams despite their danger. In the Tuban district, the civil defense teams were able to use heavy equipment to break the siege imposed by the floods on the people of Al-Manasara village, where safe passages were opened after continuous efforts despite the strength of the floods coming from the Taiz highlands. The authorities also recorded an incident of the collapse of the roof of a room in the Dar Al-Akma area in the Al-Muflahi district, which resulted in the injury of three workers who were inside, and they were taken to the hospital for treatment. In the Tur Al-Baha district, the body of an unidentified drowned person, estimated to be 55 years old, was found, swept away by the floods from the Haifan district in Taiz Governorate, while the search process continues to identify him. In Taiz Governorate, heavy rains that lasted for long hours caused the collapse of a wall in Wadi Al-Dahi, which led to the injury of the child Maria Hamza Noman Abdullah (11 years old) with multiple head wounds, as a result of which she was transferred to the hospital to receive medical care.
