Yemen: Central Bank Governor Issues Two Decisions to Suspend and Withdraw Licenses of Exchange Companies

Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Governor of the Central Bank, Ahmed Ghaleb, issued today Resolution No. (25) of 2025, regarding the suspension of the license granted to Bin Obaid Express Exchange Establishment and Abu Akram Hazam (Remittance Agent) and the closure of their headquarters. The Governor of the Central Bank also issued Resolution No. (26) of 2025, regarding the withdrawal of licenses granted to the branch of Barea Exchange Company - Marib - Bin Muaili Station, and the branch of Al-Amari Company - Al-Bayda - Rada'a Public Street and the closure of their headquarters. The two resolutions clarified that these measures were taken due to the violations of these establishments and branches proven in the field inspection report submitted by the Banking Supervision Sector.
