Yemen: Exemption of 281 Various Stranded Vehicles from Customs Duties and Traffic Violations in Sana'a

Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Tax and Customs Authority began yesterday, Saturday, granting exemptions from customs duties to owners of distressed vehicles. The Houthi-controlled Yemeni News Agency (Saba) quoted the Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi, as confirming that the Authority, through the customs committees, has completed all procedures for granting customs exemptions, coinciding with the celebrations of the Prophet's birthday, which the Houthis are preparing for. He stated that the exemptions include 281 various vehicles from all customs duties and traffic violations, for those who meet the criteria and according to the regulations that specified the vehicle detained for more than six months. He called on citizens who own distressed vehicles and meet the criteria to go to the customs committees to obtain exemptions and receive their vehicles in accordance with the supporting documents and papers.
