Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: A Yemeni woman in her mid-thirties died in Al Dhale'e Governorate, in the south of the country, after being hit by a bullet fired from an automatic rifle that her 11-year-old child was playing with, according to security sources. The Security Media Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Interior in the legitimate government, confirmed that the bullet hit the mother directly in the abdomen, leading to her immediate death, while family members and neighbors went into shock from the horror of the incident. The police stated that the incident falls within a series of similar incidents witnessed in Yemeni cities and villages due to the widespread proliferation of weapons, the absence of family supervision, and leaving weapons within the reach of children. This incident serves as a reminder of the great dangers of the spread of weapons among civilians, as dozens of deaths have been recorded in recent years as a result of unintentional shootings, which raises increasing calls for stricter control and intensified community awareness.
