Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Israeli occupation army announced today, Friday (August 22, 2025), the interception of a drone launched from Yemen, which led to the activation of sirens in settlements near the Gaza Strip. The army said in a statement that the interception process took several attempts before the drone was shot down. These developments come amid continuous attacks carried out by the Yemeni Houthi group against Israel in support of Gaza, through missiles and drones that usually target central and southern regions of the country, in addition to naval operations against ships linked to Israel or heading towards its ports. The group had announced in late July the escalation of its naval attacks "in support of Gaza." It is noteworthy that the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in more than 62,000 martyrs and 157,000 injured, most of them children and women, in addition to thousands of missing persons and hundreds of thousands of displaced people, while the famine that has claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians continues.
