Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Air Forecast and Early Warning Center of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology predicted today, Friday, varying intensities of rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in parts of the southern, eastern, and western coasts, the Socotra archipelago, and the surrounding areas. Moderate to active winds are also expected on the eastern, southern, and western coasts, while they will be strongly active on the Socotra archipelago. In its daily bulletin, the center indicated that the mountainous highlands will witness partly to fully cloudy weather, with the possibility of thunderstorms of varying intensity accompanied by hail in parts of the northwestern highlands, reaching Al-Dhalea and Lahj in the south, in addition to the highlands and plateaus of Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, and Al-Mahra. As for the desert and plateau regions, the weather is expected to be partly to fully cloudy, hot during the day and moderate at night, with the possibility of scattered rain that may be accompanied by thunder in the deserts of Al-Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Marib, and Al-Jawf. The center warned citizens in the areas where rain is expected to fall from being in valleys and flood streams, and from thunderstorms. It also called on vehicle drivers to be careful of low horizontal visibility. In its marine bulletin, the center explained that the sea will be light in Bab al-Mandab and the western coasts, moderate off the coasts of Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, and Aden, while it will be turbulent off the coasts of Al-Mahra, and very turbulent around the Socotra archipelago. The sea state in the Red Sea will be light, moderate in the Gulf of Aden, and very turbulent in the Arabian Sea. The center called on fishermen, seafarers, and ship captains around Socotra, the eastern and southern coasts, and the Gulf of Aden to exercise caution and caution due to sea disturbances, high waves, and strong winds.
