Arab Sea - Follow-ups: Over the past hours, the Southern Transitional Council forces have deployed military reinforcements from the capital, Aden, to the Lawdar district in Abyan Governorate, at a time when popular demands are escalating for the necessity of opening the vital Thera Pass road linking Abyan with the governorates of Al-Bayda and Mukayras. Local sources confirmed to the Arab Sea newspaper that the reinforcements included military vehicles and soldiers who were deployed in areas below the Thera Pass, coinciding with the continued protests of residents demanding the opening of the road, the closure of which has caused widespread humanitarian and economic suffering. It added that the leadership of the forces affiliated with the Transitional Council deployed in the area to secure the road and ensure stability, noting that their presence comes in response to the requirements of protecting the people and establishing public tranquility. For their part, citizens expressed their fears about the continued closure of the road, which represents a vital artery for trade and transportation, pointing out that the suffering is increasing for patients, students and business owners due to the disruption of this important outlet. They called for a quick solution to ensure the opening of the road, in order to alleviate the living pressures they have been facing for months.
