Arab Sea - Follow-ups: The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Thursday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli starvation since October 7, 2023, has risen to 271 Palestinians, including 112 children. The ministry said in a statement that it had recorded "the death of two cases as a result of famine and malnutrition" in the past 24 hours. It added: "Thus, the total number of victims of famine and malnutrition rises to 271 martyrs, including 112 children." Despite Israel allowing a limited number of humanitarian aid and goods trucks to enter about 3 weeks ago, the famine continues, as most of these trucks are subjected to theft by gangs that the Gaza government says are protected by Israel. Since March 2, Israel has closed all crossings leading to Gaza, preventing the entry of any humanitarian aid, which has plunged the sector into a state of famine despite the accumulation of relief trucks on its borders, and allows the entry of limited quantities that do not meet the minimum needs of the starving Palestinians. With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop it. The Israeli genocide has left 62,122 Palestinians dead, 156,758 injured, most of them children and women, more than 9,000 missing, and hundreds of thousands displaced.
