Arabian Sea - Yemen - Special: Heavy rains that hit Aden early Tuesday morning caused floods and the closure of main streets in Al-Tawahi, Al-Mualla, and Sira, leading to paralysis in traffic and the injury of at least two people, according to medical sources. Health sources described the situation as "catastrophic," warning of environmental risks due to stagnant water and accumulated waste. On the ground, the Governor of Aden, Ahmed Lamlas, inspected the affected neighborhoods and directed the rapid opening of roads and drainage of water, while the Director-General of Al-Tawahi, Wajdi Al-Shaabi, led a field campaign that resulted in the opening of most streets and the removal of flood debris. Meanwhile, the Early Warning Center explained that the rains were caused by a "weather trough" that moved westward, warning of a new wave that will affect the eastern governorates until the end of the week.
