Arab Sea - Reports: The local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Aden Governorate announced a temporary halt to water production in the Bir Nasser and Bir Ahmed fields due to the heavy rainfall the city witnessed. The General Manager of the fields, Engineer Kamel Al-Hamami, explained that the suspension came as a precautionary measure following the disconnection of the electricity system from the wells and pumping stations to avoid any technical damage or electrical hazards, confirming the start of partial re-operation as soon as the rainfall stops and field conditions improve. Al-Hamami indicated that the operation and maintenance teams have begun inspecting the control panels, pumps, and main transmission lines to ensure their safety before gradually resuming pumping to the public network, giving priority to the most densely populated neighborhoods. The corporation called on residents to rationalize consumption in the coming hours until pumping returns to its normal levels, noting that the emergency room is following up on reports and coordinating with relevant service agencies to address any bottlenecks that may appear. This measure comes within the framework of the safety protocols adopted by the corporation to deal with harsh climatic conditions, especially when rain is accompanied by floods that may cause malfunctions in the networks or flood the operating rooms. The corporation also confirmed that the operational stock is safe, and that technical monitoring work is continuing to ensure the stability of water supplies and the full restoration of service as soon as possible.
