The National Investigation Committee meets with the local and security authorities in Shabwa and praises institutional integration and respect for human rights.

Special/ Shabwa As part of its field efforts to promote human rights and monitor their conditions, the National Commission to Investigate Allegations of Human Rights Violations paid an inspection visit to Shabwa Governorate, during which it met with local and security leaders, with the aim of assessing the general human rights situation and listening to reports from the concerned authorities, in addition to discussing future cooperation mechanisms to enhance the protection of rights and public freedoms. In this context, the committee held a meeting chaired by the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Deputy Governor, Mr. Abdul Rabbo Hashla Nasser, accompanied by the Director General of the Governorate Police, Brigadier General Fouad Muhammad Al-Nassi, with Judge Dr. Diaa Muhairiz, member of the National Investigation Committee, and in the presence of the Governorate's agents Ahmed Saleh Al-Daghari, Fahd bin Al-Dheeb Al-Khalifi, the Director of the Political Security Service, Brigadier General Abdullah Barman, the Advisor Saleh Al-Shuaira, Director of the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Office, Judge Musleh Rajeh, the Committee's coordinator in the governorate, and a member of the Committee's media unit, Donia Farhan. The Secretary-General of the Local Council, Abdul Rabbo Hashla, affirmed that Shabwa Governorate enjoys sustainable security and stability, thanks to the efforts made by the local authority leadership, headed by Governor Sheikh Awad Muhammad Ibn Al-Wazir, and various state institutions, adding that the governorate continues to activate legal frameworks and protect human rights, despite the challenges it faces, which require more coordination and support. For her part, Judge Dr. Diaa Muhairiz expressed her satisfaction with the cooperation she had seen from the local authorities in Shabwa, noting that the governorate is one of the areas with low rates of human rights violations compared to other governorates, explaining that the committee works professionally and independently, and sends its reports to the Supreme Judicial Council and the Public Prosecutor's Office, stressing the importance of the authorities' response to the recommendations made by the committee. Dr. Muhairiz praised the atmosphere of cooperation and the institutional structure available in the governorate, stressing that continuous work and close coordination contribute to improving the conditions of detainees and ensuring justice for victims. In conclusion, the committee team indicated that the visit will include various programs and activities, including organizing an interactive workshop that brings together relevant parties to enhance knowledge of human rights, in addition to holding meetings with judicial and security authorities, and field visits to areas related to human rights issues. This visit comes as part of an extensive plan implemented by the National Investigation Committee in several governorates, with the aim of following up on previous recommendations, strengthening cooperation with various concerned parties, and preserving the principles of justice and the rule of law, and with the aim of improving the human rights environment in the country in general. #Security_Media_Office #Shabwa_Governorate_Police
