Yemen: Two young men die by drowning in a rainwater pit in Al Hudaydah

Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: Two young men died today, Monday, after drowning in a pit filled with rainwater in the city of Bajil, east of Al-Hudaydah Governorate, according to local sources. The sources indicated that the two young men were near one of the pits left by the recent floods, before they slipped and fell inside, and the large amounts of water hindered efforts to rescue them despite the attempts of the residents. They added that rescue teams rushed to the site and were able to recover the bodies, in an incident that brought back the dangers of water accumulations and pits resulting from the heavy rains that the region is witnessing.
