Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: An armed gang of highway robbers in Al-Jawf Governorate robbed a vehicle belonging to the team of the Executive Center for Mine Action, in an incident that sparked widespread condemnation among the governorate's residents. Local sources indicated that five gunmen intercepted the driver's path in the Al-Jubla Al-Muhashama area of the Khabb wa ash-Sha'af district, brandished their weapons at him, threatening to kill him if he did not leave the car and leave the place, before assaulting him and stealing the car and fleeing, according to "Al-Wehdawi Net." Tribal sources confirmed that a number of Al-Jawf dignitaries condemned the incident, amid security movements and tribal mediation to recover the car and apprehend the perpetrators. It is worth noting that the vehicles of the National Mine Action Center are grants provided by programs affiliated with the United Nations, with the aim of supporting mine clearance efforts left by the ongoing war in Yemen for nearly a decade, which has spread in most areas and led to the fall of thousands of civilian victims. This incident comes amid increasing incidents of interception and looting in areas controlled by the Houthi group, especially on desert roads and main roads linking remote governorates, reflecting the escalating state of security chaos.
