Yemen: Ministry of Transport Approves New Passenger Transportation Fare in Aden

Arab Sea_Special: The Undersecretary of the Capital Aden for Transport Affairs chaired a meeting that included the Director General of the Ministry of Transport Office, the Director General of Traffic Police, the Head of Community Committees, and the Directors of Transport Offices in the districts of the Capital Aden to discuss passenger transport fares. The meeting discussed reconsidering passenger transport fares between the districts of the Capital Aden and within the district itself to be commensurate with the economic developments in the national arena, such as the decline of foreign currencies compared to the local currency and the decline in derivatives, and in view of the suffering of citizens and students and their constant appeals to reduce transport fares. The attendees discussed a comprehensive organization of passenger transport means, avoiding traffic congestion, and calling on the Directors General of the districts and public works offices to remove all obstacles in all streets, from stalls, car wrecks, and all street vendors. The meeting stressed the importance of implementing all the outcomes of the meeting in order to contribute to alleviating the burdens on the citizen, while taking into account the taxi bus drivers and their current conditions of spare parts and oils, and in line with the current fare, which is as follows: Sheikh Othman / Khormaksar and vice versa 300 Sheikh Othman / Crater and vice versa 400 Sheikh Othman / Al-Mualla / Al-Tawahi and vice versa 400 Sheikh Othman / Al-Shaab / Bir Ahmed and vice versa 400 Sheikh Othman / Al-Buraiqa and vice versa 500 Sheikh Othman / Salah al-Din and vice versa 800 Sheikh Othman / Al-Mansoura and vice versa 200 Sheikh Othman / Dar Saad and vice versa 200 Sheikh Othman / Al-Basateen and vice versa 200 Al-Mansoura / Al-Buraiqa and vice versa 500 Khormaksar / Crater and vice versa 300 Al-Tawahi / Al-Mualla and vice versa 200 Al-Tawahi / Al-Qaloua and vice versa 200 Al-Tawahi / Crater and vice versa 300 Al-Tawahi / Khormaksar and vice versa 300 Internal lines within the same district 200 At the conclusion of the meeting, the Directors of Transport Offices in the districts of the Capital Aden expressed their thanks to Brigadier General Al-Qalaa and all members of the Traffic Police for the tangible efforts witnessed in the streets of the Capital Aden.
