Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Air Forecast and Early Warning Center at the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology predicted today, Friday, humid, hot, and dusty weather in coastal and nearby areas, ranging from clear to partly cloudy, with the possibility of fog forming over parts of Al Mahra Governorate, and thunderstorms over parts of the eastern and southern coasts and the Red Sea coasts, while the winds will be light to moderate, active during thunderstorms and intensifying over the Socotra archipelago. In its daily bulletin, the center indicated that the mountainous highlands will witness clear to partly cloudy weather with chances of thunderstorms, some of which will be heavy and accompanied by hail, over scattered parts of the highlands and western and southwestern slopes from Saada in the north to Taiz, Lahj, and Al Dhale'e, extending east to the governorates of Shabwa, Al Bayda, and Abyan. It also expected the weather in the desert and plateau areas to be dry and clear to partly cloudy and hot to very hot, with maximum temperatures ranging between 38 and 45 degrees Celsius, with moderate winds that will be active during the day and stir up sand and dust. The bulletin indicated that the temperatures in the most prominent cities for today will be as follows: in the coastal areas, Aden 36/28, Mukalla 35/27, Hodeidah 37/31, Socotra 33/25, Mocha 38/30, Al Ghaydah 30/23, Zanzibar 36/28, Lahj 38/28, and in the desert and plateau areas, Seiyun 41/27, Marib 39/27, Ataq 37/26, Baihan 38/27, while in the mountainous areas, Sana'a 32/16, Taiz 31/19, Dhamar 27/12, Al Dhale'e 35/20, Ibb 27/14, Al Bayda 30/16. The center renewed its warnings to citizens in areas exposed to rain from being in the paths of torrents and valleys and from the dangers of thunderstorms, strong winds, and rockslides, calling for taking the necessary precautions. It also warned residents of desert and coastal areas against direct exposure to sunlight for long periods and from humid weather. In the marine bulletin, the center expected the sea to be light in wave height on the coasts of Abyan and Aden, light to moderate on the coasts of Shabwa, Bab al-Mandab, and the western coasts, moderate on the coasts of Al Mahra and Hadhramaut, and rough to very rough on the coasts of the Socotra archipelago and in the Arabian Sea, light to moderate in the Red Sea, and moderate to rough in the Gulf of Aden. It also warned ship captains, fishermen, and seafarers around the Socotra archipelago and the coasts of Al Mahra, Hadhramaut, and the Arabian Sea of ​​sea disturbances and high waves, in addition to warning of rip currents on the coasts of Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, and Lahj.
