Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The modern Airbus 320 A aircraft "Kingdom of Awsan" arrived at Aden International Airport today, joining the fleet of Yemen Airways. The aircraft was received by the Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdulsalam Saleh Humaid, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yemen Airways, Captain Nasser Mahmoud. Minister Humaid explained that this aircraft is the fourth for the Yemen Airways fleet, congratulating the leadership of the ministry, Yemen Airways, and all members of society on this achievement, explaining that the entry of this aircraft will represent a qualitative addition and will contribute greatly to reducing pressure on flights and travel. He pointed out that another aircraft will join soon, touching on the most prominent achievements made by "Yemenia," the most prominent of which was the start of the regional maintenance hangar project for aircraft maintenance and the Yemen Airways building, and the management of eight external lines and four internal lines, pointing out that Yemen Airways, despite the circumstances it went through, was able to overcome all challenges. The Minister of Transport pointed to the government's and the Ministry of Transport's support for all the efforts made by Yemenia, reiterating the commitment of Yemen Airways and the Ministry of Transport to the Cabinet's decision to reconsider travel ticket prices and sell in the national currency in line with the improvement in the exchange process for the local currency and to alleviate the suffering of citizens in light of the conditions the country is witnessing. For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yemen Airways, Captain Nasser Mahmoud, expressed his pride in the entry of the modern Airbus 320 A aircraft "Kingdom of Awsan" into Yemen Airways, explaining that it can accommodate 150 passengers and will enter service directly to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people for travel.
