Arab Sea_Translations: The Israeli army has issued instructions to its military brigades to prepare for a new ground operation in the Gaza Strip, a move that comes a year after the end of the previous major operation in the northern part of the Strip, whose ground battle began about 20 months ago. According to what Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported on Friday, citing military sources, the operation will not begin before next September, as the army command seeks to give the forces time to rest and recover from months of long fighting. The army command is also seeking to prepare for the deployment of additional forces, including reserve units that recently received notices to prepare for recall next month, which may disrupt their holiday season. The sources explained that the start of the operation is linked to the evacuation of approximately one million civilians from Gaza City and its surroundings to humanitarian areas in the southern part of the Strip, a step that depends on the cooperation of the United Nations, according to the newspaper. Operational plans are also being prepared for at least four regiments of forces, including reserve forces, to be the first to besiege Gaza City and slowly advance towards its western neighborhoods, which include high-rise buildings.
