Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Air Forecasts and Early Warning Center at the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology warned of continued thunderstorms, some heavy and accompanied by hail, in a number of governorates of the Republic during the next three days. The center explained in a warning bulletin that the rains will include the highlands and western and southwestern slopes, from Saada in the north to Al-Dhalea, Taiz, and Lahj in the south, extending westward to the coasts of the Red Sea. Scattered rains, some thundery, are also expected on parts of the highlands and plateaus of the governorates of Hadramout, Shabwa, Al-Bayda, and Abyan, reaching Aden Governorate. The center called on citizens to avoid being in the valleys and torrent paths, to be careful while walking on slippery muddy roads, and to stay away from electricity poles, billboards, and trees during storms, warning of rockslides and wind activity accompanying the rains, and stressing the need to turn off mobile phones during thunderstorms.
