Yemen: 122 tons of expired food destroyed in Sanaa

Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Office of Economy, Industry and Investment in the capital secretariat of Sana'a destroyed "122" tons and "130" kilograms of various expired and unfit for human consumption food items. The Houthi-controlled Yemeni News Agency (Saba) quoted the director of the office, Majid Al-Sada, as confirming that the destruction process was carried out in accordance with legal procedures and in the presence of a member of the Public Prosecution. He affirmed the office and its branches in the directorates' keenness to strengthen the process of monitoring and inspecting markets and food and consumer goods, controlling commercial violations, and confiscating and destroying expired materials.
