Arab Sea - Reports: The Media and Communication Department of the Syrian Ministry of Defense said today, Tuesday, that two groups from the Syrian Democratic Forces ("SDF") infiltrated towards the deployment points of the Syrian army in the Tel Maaz area east of Aleppo, during the night, which led to violent clashes that resulted in the death of a soldier from the army. The statement added that army units responded to the sources of fire "within the rules of engagement" and thwarted the infiltration operation, forcing the attacking forces to withdraw to their original positions. It pointed out that this escalation comes at a time when the "SDF" continues to target army positions in the Manbij and Deir Hafer areas, in addition to intermittently closing some roads in the city of Aleppo from its positions near the Lairamoun roundabout, "disregarding all understandings and agreements concluded with the Syrian government." The Ministry of Defense affirmed that the continuation of infiltration, bombing, and provocation operations will lead to "new consequences," calling on the "SDF" to abide by the agreements signed with the Syrian state and to stop targeting army personnel and civilians in Aleppo and its eastern countryside.
