Aden_Arabian Sea_Special: The Yemeni Standards, Metrology and Quality Control Organization, through its office in the Free Zone port in the temporary capital, Aden, rejected 2688 cartons of frozen boneless chicken, brand name Hilal, of Brazilian origin, due to non-compliance with specifications as a result of poor refrigeration, which led to the growth of harmful bacteria in the product, and rejected 2331 cartons of frozen boneless chicken, brand name Confidence, of Brazilian origin, due to non-compliance with standard specifications regarding the expiration date. A quantity of vegetable cooking oil was also rejected due to defects in the product, and 20 cartons of gasoline engine oil suitable for gas, which did not meet standard specifications because the product data was actually different from the data on the label, which is considered deception and fraud for the consumer. Through its office at the Al-Wadia land port in Hadramout Governorate, a quantity of chemicals used in the perfume industry was rejected, as the product was labeled as being of foreign origin and intended for local use, which constitutes deception and fraud for the consumer. Through its branch in Taiz Governorate, the organization rejected and destroyed 2724 cartons of hot sauce, 212 cartons of cheese analogue, and 150 cartons of cream-filled croissants, due to changes in the product's properties in taste and smell. The destruction was carried out in coordination with the Industry and Trade Prosecution in the governorate and with the participation of relevant authorities.
