Yemeni Foreign Minister Meets with His Egyptian Counterpart

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Shayea Al-Zindani, met today, on the sidelines of the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held in Istanbul, Turkey, with the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Badr Abdel-Aaty. The meeting discussed the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields, reflecting the depth of historical ties between Yemen and Egypt. Minister Al-Zindani pointed out the importance of the Egyptian role in supporting Yemen in various forums, praising Egypt's firm positions towards the security and stability of Yemen, and its keenness to strengthen Arab solidarity in the face of common challenges. For his part, the Egyptian Foreign Minister reiterated his country's position in support of Yemen's unity, security and stability, stressing the Arab Republic of Egypt's full support for the Yemeni government's efforts to restore the state and advance the political process in a way that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people for peace and development.
