Arab Sea - Agencies: Several Arab cities witnessed widespread demonstrations on Saturday evening demanding an end to the Israeli war of extermination against the Palestinians in Gaza, and the opening of urgent humanitarian corridors to bring aid to hundreds of thousands of besieged people. In Morocco, thousands took to the streets in Tangier (north) and Agadir (south) chanting slogans rejecting displacement, siege, and starvation, stressing their continued support for the Palestinian cause. Protesters raised banners with slogans such as "Palestine Resists" and "The People Want the Liberation of Palestine," and condemned the international community's inability to stop Israeli crimes. In Tunisia, hundreds of activists from the "Fleet of Steadfastness" and "Supporters of Palestine" organized a vigil in front of the Municipal Theater in the capital, chanting slogans demanding an end to the genocide and the lifting of the siege on the sector. In Turkey, thousands of citizens and foreigners participated in a march in Istanbul entitled "Be Hope for Gaza," called for by the "Palestine Support Platform," which includes 15 civil organizations, with the aim of drawing the world's attention to Israeli war crimes. In the Netherlands, Amsterdam witnessed massive demonstrations during which participants demanded that the government impose sanctions and sever relations with Israel, stressing that protests would continue until the demands were met. In Sweden, protesters in Stockholm raised slogans calling for an immediate ceasefire, condemned the policy of starvation and forced displacement, demanded the prosecution of Israeli leaders involved in the genocide, and called for intensifying the economic boycott. In Switzerland, thousands of demonstrators gathered in Geneva, where they organized a sit-in in the "English Garden" and a march through the city's streets, carrying Palestinian flags and banging empty pots in reference to the famine in Gaza, while criticizing the Swiss government for its "cooperation with Israel." In Germany, protesters in Berlin raised banners with slogans such as "Stop the Genocide in Gaza" and "Your Silence Kills," while similar demonstrations took place in the Norwegian capital, Oslo. In Latin America, Chile witnessed a march entitled "Empty Pots" to condemn the Israeli policy of starvation. In Britain, police arrested 365 people during a demonstration in London in support of the "Palestine Action" group, which has been banned since last July. Authorities described the number of detainees as the largest in a single protest in the capital, accusing those arrested of supporting a terrorist organization. In Tel Aviv, violent clashes erupted between Israeli police and demonstrators demanding an end to the war and the conclusion of a prisoner exchange deal. Protesters blocked the main Ayalon Street and set fire to tires, while some stormed the studios of Channel 13 during a live broadcast. Israeli media reported that mounted police pursued the demonstrators and arrested a number of them, amid threats from right-wing militants to opponents of the war. Mothers of a number of prisoners also threatened to sue Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he proceeded with his plan to occupy all of Gaza, considering that it would endanger the lives of their sons. The mothers called for a general strike to paralyze the economy to pressure the government to reach an exchange deal. Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli war, supported by the United States, has resulted in the martyrdom of more than 61,000 Palestinians and the injury of about 152,000, most of them children and women, in addition to thousands of missing persons and hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, amid a famine that continues to claim lives.
