Arabian Sea - Yemen - Reports: The Houthi militias announced the issuance of a decision to establish the General Authority for the Management of the Economic and Development Zone in Salif and Ras Issa, Al Hudaydah Governorate. The decision to establish the new maritime authority comes after the ports of Al Hudaydah Governorate were subjected to a series of American and Israeli airstrikes in recent months, as part of the response to the maritime attacks carried out by the Houthi group against commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. According to the "Lloyd's List" website, which specializes in maritime shipping and analyzed the images, the Houthis constructed two new berths in the port at the end of last July, in a move aimed at increasing the capacity to import oil secretly. Pointing out that this expansion comes at a time when the Houthi oil trade is witnessing more obscurity, as tankers have been observed turning off maritime tracking systems when approaching the port, which complicates efforts to monitor the flow of illicit revenues to the group.
