Arabian Sea - Yemen - Special: The International Exhibition Meeting Foundation is organizing the second Solar Energy and Modern Irrigation Exhibition, SMI Expo 2025, from October 5 to 9, 2025, in the capital, Sana'a, as part of the qualitative partnerships that keep pace with the aspirations of the Yemeni market towards alternative and sustainable energy solutions. The exhibition is the largest national platform that brings together the most prominent players in the renewable energy and modern irrigation systems sector in Yemen, and aims to showcase the latest technologies in this field, enhance partnership between the public and private sectors, and support development projects in the energy, water and agriculture sectors. In this context, a platinum sponsorship agreement was signed today with "King Energy Hamoud Jarman and Brothers," one of the most prominent pioneers in the renewable energy market in Yemen. The official signing took place in the presence of the company's Executive Director, Ali Hamoud Jarman, and representing the International Exhibition Meeting Foundation, Mohammed Saree. The exhibition is scheduled to witness wide participation from companies, factories, and energy and irrigation systems, and includes presentations and technologies in the fields of solar energy systems, modern irrigation systems and agricultural supplies, storage and control systems, electrical transformers and integrated energy solutions. A number of banks and international and local organizations are also participating in the exhibition to present agricultural and solar energy financing programs, and to explain the mechanisms of facilities and soft loans for farmers and investors. The main objectives of the exhibition are to showcase the latest technologies in clean energy production and the exploitation of natural resources, to bring together agents and suppliers of alternative energy and modern irrigation factories and agricultural equipment under one roof, to encourage competition and provide the best commercial offers, as well as to enhance partnership with banks and organizations to finance energy and agriculture projects. The exhibition also aims to raise awareness of the importance of self-sufficiency in energy and encourage the widespread use of solar energy and modern irrigation as an integrated system, and to organize workshops and open meetings between those interested and specialists during the exhibition period. The official sponsors so far include the platinum sponsor King Energy Hamoud Jarman and Brothers, the diamond sponsor Volta Max Trading and Import Company, and the gold sponsor Al-Muqbili Renewable Energy Limited Company, in addition to a number of partners and participants. The organization of the exhibition comes in light of the economic challenges facing the country, within the framework of trends that support the need to rely on alternative and sustainable energy sources that serve the agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors, leading to self-sufficiency. It is worth mentioning that the first edition of SMI Expo 2022 witnessed great success, in terms of the number of visitors and local and international participation, and played a pivotal role in stimulating investment in the renewable energy, modern irrigation and agricultural supplies sector.
