Arabian Sea - Yemen - Follow-ups: The Israeli army announced on Sunday evening that it had managed to intercept a drone launched from Yemeni territory, while it was penetrating Israeli airspace and reaching a depth of 600 meters inside the border, according to the army radio and the official broadcasting corporation. Israeli media reported that the interception took place in the airspace of the town of Bnei Nitzarim, located within the Gaza envelope, where the drone was detected and air defense systems were activated according to approved protocols. It explained that the drone did not cause any injuries or material damage, noting that it was likely carrying materials or equipment of a military nature, while investigations are still underway to determine its exact target. Simultaneously with the incident, sirens sounded in several areas around the Gaza Strip, which sparked a state of tension and security alert among residents and security services. Israeli security sources confirmed that the army raised its alert level in anticipation of any additional infiltration attempts, noting that security forces are continuing aerial and ground sweeps to detect any potential threat. In this context, the army radio revealed that the Houthi group launched 6 drones towards Israeli territory during the last month, claiming that they were completely intercepted without achieving their goals. The Houthi group had announced at the end of last month the escalation of its military operations against Israel, confirming that it had begun what it called the fourth phase of the siege, to include targeting all ships belonging to any company dealing with Israeli ports, in any accessible location, warning that companies that ignore the warnings will have their ships attacked regardless of their destination, and regardless of their nationality.
