Aden ((Arabian Sea)) Special: The Aden Capital Security Administration affirmed its keenness to ensure that this improvement is directly reflected in the lives of citizens, by controlling the prices of consumer goods and preventing any manipulation that affects people's livelihoods or exacerbates their suffering, in light of the noticeable improvement in the exchange rate of the local currency. In a statement on Friday, the administration called on all citizens and community committees in residential neighborhoods to engage responsibly and report any price violations or monopolistic practices, in support of the competent authorities, foremost of which are the industry and trade offices and local authorities, in a way that contributes to strengthening community oversight and reducing exploitation. The Security Administration also expressed its full readiness to support oversight campaigns and coordinate with the concerned authorities to implement legal enforcement measures against violators, considering that consumer protection is an integral part of the security tasks in consolidating community stability. In this context, the Aden Security Administration called on the competent authorities to present a practical and transparent plan to regulate markets and monitor prices, and obligate business owners to display the updated price list clearly in front of citizens, in a way that ensures raising the level of price awareness, prevents ambiguity or exploitation, and makes the citizen feel the direct positive impact of the currency improvement. The administration also alerts all merchants and shop owners, with their different activities, to immediately adhere to the fair pricing that is in line with the new economic reality, stressing that any violation will be met with strict legal measures. The Aden Capital Security Administration reiterates that its role is not limited to security tasks only, but extends to supporting people's livelihoods and stability, and working as a serious and active partner with all official and community entities in order to serve the citizen and enhance their confidence in institutions.
