Arab Sea - Egypt - Special: Yesterday, former Yemeni President Ali Nasser Mohammed visited the Specialized Liver Hospital in Mansoura city, Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt, in response to a kind invitation from the hospital's founder and director, Professor Dr. Gamal Shiha, one of the most prominent pioneers of humanitarian and medical work in Egypt. President Ali Nasser was received by Dr. Shiha and a number of administrative, medical, and media personnel at the hospital. The visiting guest and his companions moved to Dr. Shiha's office, who provided a detailed explanation about the establishment of this leading medical edifice, which provides services for the treatment of liver patients from Egypt and a number of Arab countries, including Yemen. The Specialized Liver Hospital was established in 2011 by a community initiative from Dr. Gamal Shiha and is now one of the most prominent specialized medical centers in Egypt and the Middle East. The hospital is characterized by providing free medical care to liver patients, receiving more than 50,000 cases annually, and includes specialized units in outpatient clinics, gastrointestinal and liver endoscopies, and radiological diagnosis, in addition to an advanced unit for diagnosing liver fibrosis and fatty liver, and is preparing to open a liver transplant unit soon. During his tour of the hospital departments, President Ali Nasser praised the high level of organization, professionalism in providing health care, and respect for patients' rights, appreciating the continuous efforts made by Dr. Shiha and his medical and humanitarian team. President Nasser also noted the national and humanitarian role played by Dr. Gamal Shiha in the success of the national campaign to combat the "C" virus, under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which resulted in the treatment of more than 4 million Egyptians. At the end of the visit, the President expressed his great appreciation for what he had seen of achievements, wishing Dr. Shiha more success and brilliance in serving the nation and humanity. The President was accompanied on this visit by Mr. Shafi Al-Abd, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Hassan Moussa, Secretary-General of the African Foundation for Development and Construction, who played the most prominent role in arranging this visit.
