Arabian Sea Newspaper - Special
Lajj (Arabian Sea) Special: The spokesperson for the committee following up on the case of the victim, the murdered Radhi Aliyan Jamil Mahdi, revealed in a statement to "Al-Ayyam" yesterday, Tuesday, that the commander of the Al-Husseini sector in Lahj Governorate, Salah Al-Wajih, who is accused of being a fugitive from justice and accused of facilitating the escape of the murderer (Ali Omar) from the central prison in Sabr city, has been arrested and placed in the Security Belt prison. Jamil Mahdi said, after the trial session of the accused of facilitating the escape of the porter's murderer, Radhi Ahmed Awad Aliyan, which was held last Sunday by the Al-Houta Court headed by Judge Ahmed Anwar, a decision was issued to the prosecution to announce the publication of the first accused, the murderer Ali Omar, and the ninth accused, Salah Al-Wajih, who are fugitives from justice, in the official newspapers. He pointed out that the case is witnessing a rapid development of events, as we were surprised by the arrest of Salah Al-Wajih, the commander of the Al-Husseini checkpoint, the main accused who helped facilitate the escape of the murderer (Ali Omar), and he was placed in the Security Belt prison in Aden Governorate, according to the information that reached the follow-up committee. Jamil Mahdi asked in his statement: "Will Salah Al-Wajih be transferred to the central prison in Sabr in Lahj Governorate?! Or is this step just hypnotic sleep to calm the agitation in the street, and will the accused be treated as a hotel guest who roams as he pleases and practices his work at the Al-Husseini checkpoint? This is not new, the accused has already been taken to the Fourth Brigade Security Belt and treated as a first-class guest. Will this behavior be repeated, or have the leaders who carried out this task felt the responsibility and will do their duty?! Or will the scenario be repeated, and what happened is only to absorb the anger of the street that demands the speedy execution of the sentence on the accused, and will the procedures in this case proceed according to the law and the justice of the court?! Or will someone appear who tampers with the papers at the expense of the victim who was murdered intentionally, unjustly, and aggressively?" He said: "Despite all these questions, the relatives of the victim have chosen the path of justice and the law and have great confidence in the justice of the judiciary. The questions are still being asked, will the arrest of Salah Al-Wajih contribute and help in reaching the criminal murderer Ali Omar and will this be the beginning of the end of the case?! Or is the murderer Ali Omar, as they say, the black box of Salah Al-Wajih and a repository of his secrets?! Therefore, he cannot help in arresting him and handing him over to justice so as not to make matters worse and other issues appear that are not taken into account." He concluded by saying: "All of this was just hypotheses, conclusions, and questions inspired by the procedures of the case, and we hope that this case will reach safety and that justice will take its course away from the influence of various pressures. So that the arena does not become a jungle ruled by the strongest and most influential, so that the street's confidence in its leaders, the law, and the judiciary returns."
