Local sources said that a security force stopped a convoy of the "Million Justice" event on the first anniversary of the abduction of Lieutenant Colonel Ali Abdullah Ashal al-Jaadani on Monday afternoon, before it reached the city of Aden. The sources reported that the convoy, which started from Abyan Governorate and was on its way to the parade ground in Khor Maksar District, was stopped at the Alam checkpoint - the eastern entrance to the city of Aden - and prevented from continuing towards the event site. Widespread calls had been launched to revive the "Million Justice" in the city of Aden, demanding the disclosure of the fate of Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashal, who was kidnapped on this day last year, amid accusations against security parties of being behind the incident. There was a heavy security presence in the parade ground, and preparations were underway to receive the participants in the event, before the convoy coming from Abyan was announced to have been stopped, which sparked widespread reactions and demands to allow the peaceful event to take place.
