Today, Al-Sabla Street in Al-Dhaher District, Ibb Governorate, witnessed a tragic accident that led to the death of two girls and the serious injury of a third, after a load of building blocks (bulla) fell from a crane during construction work near Al-Nour Hospital. Local sources explained that the crane was being used to lift building materials to one of the upper floors of the building, before the load came loose and fell on the three girls who were passing by the street at the time of the accident. The accident resulted in the immediate death of two girls, while the third was taken to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment and care. The incident caused a wave of discontent among the residents, who demanded the implementation of strict occupational safety measures at construction sites, and monitoring the use of cranes in populated streets, to protect the lives of children and passers-by and prevent the recurrence of such tragic accidents.
