Arab Sea Newspaper - Follow-ups:

Identical security and military sources reported that directives were issued on Saturday evening ordering the redeployment of forces tasked with securing the Maashiq Palace. The Presidential Protection Brigade returned to its positions inside the palace, while the Storm Forces of the Southern Transitional Council returned to their previous positions in its outer perimeter. According to the sources, these arrangements restored the security situation in Maashiq to what it was before the handover process that was carried out on the same day, according to "Aden Al-Ghad." The sources confirmed that the implementation of the directives was carried out in a short time and without any problems, as the Presidential Protection Brigade resumed its internal security tasks, while the Storm Forces continued to be responsible for protecting the entrances and security belt points around the palace, in a distribution that has been in place for many years. This move - according to the sources - came after an assessment of the field conditions, and that the repositioning process took place smoothly and in an atmosphere of calm, amid normal security stability in the region. On Saturday afternoon, the Storm Forces completed the process of taking over all protection duties inside the Maashiq Palace, after the last battalion of the Presidential Protection Forces left its positions with their personal weapons. The Presidential Protection Brigade had been securing the palace from the inside since 2019, while the Transitional Council forces were entrusted with securing the entrances and the palace's perimeter within stable security arrangements during the past years. With that, the latest developments ended this distribution, as the government force was completely evacuated in favor of the Storm Forces, which assumed comprehensive security responsibility inside and around the palace, before things returned to what they were on Saturday evening, within the framework of the new arrangements.
