The Governor of Hadramout, Salem Al-Khanbashi, met today with a high-level Saudi security and military delegation headed by the Chairman of the Special Committee, Major General Dr. Muhammad Al-Qahtani. During the meeting, in the presence of the Commander of the Second Military Region, Major General Staff Talib Barjash, the Directors of Security and Police in the Coast and Valley, and military and security leaders, they discussed the overall security situation in the governorate in light of current developments, and the efforts made to establish and enhance security. Governor Al-Khanbashi affirmed the importance of the visit in supporting stability efforts and consolidating security in the governorate, and enhancing joint coordination in various fields, praising the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's firm fraternal stances and its continuous support for Yemen in various stages. The Governor pointed out that the Saudi delegation's visit to Hadramout at this time carries important connotations and clear messages regarding the governorate's special status with the Kingdom, and the great attention it receives in view of its strategic importance and the depth of its historical relations. For their part, the members of the Saudi delegation affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to Yemen and its stability, and that the security and stability of Hadramout are a special priority for the Saudi leadership, given the governorate's historical and social depth for the Kingdom, and the firmly established specificity in the extended relations between the two sides. In addition, the Governor of Hadramout and the Saudi delegation met today in Al-Mukalla with members of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, leaders of the local authority, military and security leaders, honorable scholars, social, prominent and tribal figures, to discuss the latest developments in the governorate. The head of the Saudi delegation, Chairman of the Special Committee, Dr. Muhammad Al-Qahtani, explained that the Saudi delegation's visit came under the directives of the Saudi leadership to check on the conditions of Hadramout, reiterating the Kingdom's and the Arab Coalition's keenness to prevent the situation from sliding into any path that does not serve the security and stability of the governorate. He pointed to the special status that Hadramout enjoys with the leadership and people of the Kingdom, and to the fraternal and social ties and common borders that unite the two sides. Dr. Al-Qahtani affirmed that the Arab Coalition came to support legitimacy in Yemen and achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people, reiterating the Kingdom's full support for the security and stability of Hadramout in every inch of its territory, and support for development and construction efforts in it. He said: "We have come to affirm our support for the local authority in Hadramout, and we renew our support for legitimacy in Yemen, and we support everyone who seeks to enhance the stability of Yemen and Hadramout in particular, and we affirm our rejection of what happened," demanding the withdrawal of any military forces or security elements that arrived from outside Hadramout. Dr. Al-Qahtani pointed to the recent events in Hadramout, stressing the coalition's support for the security of the governorate, which will only be achieved through the solidarity and unity of its people, and his bet on the awareness of the people of Hadramout and their keenness to protect their security. He also stressed that the main battle for everyone is to confront the Houthi coup militias.
