Saudi Arabia approves the 2026 budget with a deficit exceeding 165 billion riyals.

The Saudi government approved the Kingdom's budget for the year 2026 on Tuesday, with a financial deficit estimated at more than 165 billion riyals (about 44 billion dollars). According to the Saudi Press Agency, the approved expenditures in the budget amount to about 1.3 trillion riyals (approximately 350 billion dollars), compared to estimated revenues of about 1.15 trillion riyals (about 306 billion dollars). The Council of Ministers held its session in the city of Dammam, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, where the details of the budget and its general directions were reviewed, with emphasis on accelerating the implementation of social and development programs and projects that support the achievement of the goals of "Saudi Vision 2030."
