The family of the martyr, Major General Adnan al-Hammadi, commander of the 35th Armored Brigade, renewed its demand to the concerned authorities to end the procrastination that has plagued his assassination case for six years, calling for accelerating the completion of investigation and trial procedures to ensure justice for the martyr and justice for all parties concerned. In a statement issued on the sixth anniversary of the assassination of Commander al-Hammadi, the family affirmed that it had exhausted all legal and political means to move the case forward without achieving any progress, noting that it is still unable to know which party is actually responsible for the investigation, despite the prominent national status of the martyr who "gave his life in defense of the republic." The statement pointed out that the case of al-Hammadi, who was assassinated on December 2, 2019, has turned into a stagnant file despite its national symbolism and pivotal role in confronting the Houthi coup in 2015, warning against attempts to marginalize the case or treat it as a secondary file, whether by transferring it to Taiz after five years or prolonging the investigation without justification. The family called on the President and members of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Presidencies of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, the Presidency of the Government, the Ministries of Justice, Human Rights and Defense, the President of the Supreme Court, the Supreme Judicial Council, and the Public Prosecutor, to assume their legal and moral responsibilities and complete the procedures of the prosecution and the competent court to try the perpetrators and all parties that supported or planned the assassination. The family also appealed to parties, human rights and civil organizations, and all popular activities, to continue to exert pressure and solidarity with it to keep the martyr's case alive, and to affirm his national status and role in protecting the state and the republic. The statement affirmed the family's gratitude to everyone who has supported it over the past years, stressing its continued adherence to the demand for justice and rejection of any attempt to ignore or obliterate the facts related to the case of Commander al-Hammadi.
