Arab Sea Newspaper - Follow-ups:
The Palestinian Prisoner's Society revealed today that the Israeli occupation forces have arrested about 21,000 Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem during the past two years, in addition to thousands in the Gaza Strip. In a statement, the club indicated that the occupation continues to escalate its attacks against the Palestinians, stressing that the arrest operations are accompanied by systematic violations against the detainees and their families, which constitutes an extension of a continuous war of extermination. The statement added that the crimes include field executions, as well as legislative attempts to enact laws allowing the implementation of the death penalty against Palestinian prisoners. The Prisoner's Society affirmed that these policies represent a continuation of the occupation's historical approach in suppressing the Palestinians and increasing the tools of control and surveillance, with the level of violations escalating during the recent period.
