Arab Sea Newspaper - Follow-ups:

This morning, Monday, the countryside of Quneitra Governorate in southern Syria witnessed a new incursion by Israeli forces towards the western side of the village of Saida al-Hanout, in a military escalation that adds to a series of continuous violations of the ceasefire line and contact lines in the region. The official Syrian news agency "SANA" reported that an Israeli military force consisting of 3 vehicles entered the village of Saida al-Hanout, while a reconnaissance drone flew over the area to monitor movements and field surveillance. This move comes amid a noticeable military mobilization, coinciding with the Israeli army moving two tanks from the Al-Burj point to the Al-Hamidiya point north of the governorate, in a move that reflects an unprecedented escalation along the separation line in the occupied Golan. According to local sources, the Israeli army had infiltrated both the northern and southern Quneitra countryside on Sunday, and set up two checkpoints to inspect passers-by and local residents, in direct violation of the Disengagement Agreement signed since 1974. Damascus continues to demand the withdrawal of Israeli forces from all occupied Syrian territories, stressing the need for the international community to act and bear its responsibilities towards the repeated Israeli violations, which threaten further tension in southern Syria.
