Yemen: Al-Khanbashi takes the constitutional oath as Governor of Hadramout before the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council.

Salem Ahmed Saeed Al-Khanbashi took the constitutional oath in Aden this morning, Saturday, before the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, following the issuance of a decision appointing him Governor of Hadramout Governorate. Following the oath ceremony, the Chairman of the Leadership Council held a meeting that included Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Brik and the new Governor, during which they discussed the urgent issues awaiting the local authority in Hadramout, foremost of which are restoring stability, improving services, and advancing development in a way that meets the aspirations of the governorate's people. The Chairman of the Council stressed that Hadramout enjoys a special priority within the government's plans, affirming the continuation of implementing vital projects, foremost of which are electricity projects, while supporting the participation of the governorate's people in local and central decision-making. The Chairman of the Council also expressed his confidence in the ability of the people of Hadramout and their political and social components to support the efforts of the new Governor and maintain the governorate's position as a model for security and the rule of law. Al-Alimi and members of the government appreciated the support provided to Hadramout by the countries of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and the role of that support in enhancing stability and development. The Chairman of the Leadership Council called on the local authority to strengthen partnerships with various forces and components, stay away from any internal tensions, and focus on addressing the needs of citizens, within the national efforts aimed at restoring state institutions and ending the Houthi group's coup.
