Presidential Leadership Council member Faraj Salmin Al-Bahsani directed an urgent national appeal today, Thursday, to all components of Hadramout Governorate, warning of an "extremely dangerous" stage the governorate is going through, which requires the utmost wisdom and prioritizing the public interest over any other considerations. In a strongly worded statement, Al-Bahsani called on the people of Hadramout, including scholars, dignitaries, tribal, military, and security leaders, to bear their historical responsibilities, stressing that silence at such moments "is classified as a partnership in the making of the crisis." He pointed out that the governorate is experiencing an unprecedented situation in decades, warning against slipping into internal divisions that will only serve the enemies of Hadramout and those lying in wait for its security and stability. He added that media escalation and provocative speeches open the doors to chaos, calling for an immediate halt to the "mobilization and incitement" that deepens the rift and leads to collapse. Al-Bahsani affirmed that the rights of Hadramout cannot be seized through chaos or by using it as a political pressure card, but rather through unifying ranks and engaging in a responsible dialogue that reflects the aspirations of its people and preserves its security and gains. He also recalled the regional changes and the ongoing conflict due to the Houthi coup, stressing that Hadramout should not be an arena for settling scores or a platform for prioritizing private projects, but rather a model for national cohesion. Al-Bahsani concluded his appeal by emphasizing that "Hadramout can only be built by its people, and can only be fortified by their unity," warning that the path of division will lead to isolation, and that attempts to ignite strife will be broken in the face of the awareness and will of the governorate's people.
