The Office of the President of the Republic warned against scams and fraud perpetrated by outlaws who impersonate its leaders and employees in order to obtain money illegally. The Office explained in a statement that it had received several complaints and reports from inside and outside Yemen during the past period, stating that fraudsters were using the names of its leaders and employees via phone calls or WhatsApp to make false promises of providing assistance, facilities, or job promotions in exchange for money. The Office urged citizens not to deal with any parties or numbers that impersonate it or request money transfers under any pretext, stressing that these practices aim to exploit and entrap victims. The Office of the President of the Republic stressed that it reserves the right to pursue and prosecute those involved in these crimes, considering them serious crimes punishable by law.
