The UAE welcomes the US intervention to resolve the Sudan crisis and condemns the atrocities of both sides.

Anwar Gargash, the diplomatic advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, welcomed on Tuesday the efforts made by the United States to end the bloody conflict in Sudan, stressing his country's support for any international efforts aimed at achieving peace and stopping the bloodshed in the country. In an official statement, Gargash condemned the grave violations and atrocities committed by both the Sudanese army forces and the Rapid Support Forces, stressing the need to hold accountable those who obstruct the political solution and increase the suffering of civilians. This comes in the wake of US President Donald Trump's announcement on Wednesday of his intention to intervene to end the war in Sudan, in response to a direct request from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in a new move on the international stage to end the Sudanese crisis.
