Yemen: Al-Alimi checks on the well-being of the Governor of Taiz and directs an urgent investigation into the attack.

President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, made a phone call today, Monday, to the Governor of Taiz, Nabil Shamsan, to check on his safety after he and the commander of the Tur al-Bahah axis survived an armed ambush in Al-Maqatirah District, which resulted in the martyrdom of a number of escorts and the injury of others. The President offered his sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery. The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council also directed the Minister of Defense, Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee, to take urgent measures to pursue the perpetrators, and to form a security and military committee to open a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances of the attack and submit the results as soon as possible.
